The Annual Taste of KCK was held on January 28th, at Resurrection Catholic School at the Cathedral. The event raises funds for need-based scholarships, STREAM initiatives, academic programs, classroom supports and other day to day expenses of operating a school. Below are some reflections about the event from Greg Alejos, our Director of Development at Resurrection Catholic School.
The Annual Taste of KCK event was a fun-filled evening of Food, Culture and Community,
attended by more than 360 donors and supporters. The event raised $168,000 to benefit the students of Resurrection, by providing need-based scholarships. Thank you to all of our generous partners, donors, and supporters. We would also like to thank all of our volunteers, teachers and staff for helping to make the event successful, and a special thank you to our parish pastors: Fr. Joseph Arsenault, Fr. Peter Jaramillo and Fr. Anthony Saiki.
Resurrection Catholic School is an accredited Pre-K through 8th grade school dedicated to the betterment of children’s lives through education. On average Resurrection Students score 30% higher on Kansas State assessments than their public school peers. Our students come from diverse cultural and faith backgrounds, many with limited resources. Scholarships are needed to make Resurrection an option for our families, 97% of our students rely on financial aid to attend.
