The Annual Taste of KCK event was held on Saturday, January 27th at Resurrection Catholic School.
The event was a wonderful evening of ethnic food, culture and community. We would like to thank all of our Generous Partners, Donors and Supporters. We would also like to thank all of our Volunteers, Teachers, and RCS Staff for their help with the event, and a special thank you to our Parish Pastors for everything they do for our school: Fr. Joseph Arsenault, Fr. Peter Jaramillo and Fr. Anthony Saiki.
The goal for the 2024 event was $170,000. Due to a decrease in donations from the previous year the event fell short of our goal. We have however made positive strides following the event with an additional 30 generous donations for $10,320 bringing our total revenue to $153,132. While this progress is commendable, we're still striving to reach our goal of $170,000 for 2024.
The Taste of KCK event plays a crucial role in benefiting the students of RCS, 97% of our families rely on financial aid to send their children to Resurrection, and 78% of students are eligible for free and reduced lunch. Resurrection Catholic School is dedicated to providing 305 preschool through eighth-grade students with a high-quality STREAM-Based Education, fostering intellectual growth, critical thinking, and academic achievement.
