Dear Friends and Supporters,
Thank you for joining us for Sips for Scholarships 2026 at Boulevard Brewery. An especially heartfelt thank you to everyone who sponsored, donated, purchased raffle tickets, or simply came ready to celebrate! We know many of you supported us from afar also. Because of your generosity, this year’s Sips for Scholarships raised a record $85,096.50 for need-based scholarships! This amount has more than doubled in the last five years, which is amazing, but necessary since our enrollment has grown by almost 100 students in those five years.
What a night! We could not have asked for a more beautiful evening to celebrate Resurrection Catholic School and the students who make our work so meaningful. The weather was in stark contrast to the snowstorm that plagued our Taste of KCK event, so we know that God was looking out for us!
We were thrilled to welcome new sponsors and supporters this year, alongside the friends who have been part of Sips for Scholarships from the beginning. Your continued belief in our students and our mission means so much!
We had fun introducing some new raffle items this year, adding even more excitement to the evening. KC Wheel and KC Putt gift card, Taco Naco gift card, Stags and Stems flowers, Kansas City Zoo tickets, and a Cooper’s Hawk gift card were added to our Chicken ‘N Pickle, Mike Savage Prints, Royals Tickets, Holyfield Winery, and tickets to the Taste of KCK raffle items.
Resurrection parent, Maria Avila, shared a heartfelt message about what Resurrection means to her family, not just as a school, but as a community. Her words reminded all of us why the funds we raise are so important. They help students like her children attend. Your willingness to support our students in so many different ways helped make the event such a tremendous success.
Most importantly, your generosity will have a lasting impact. At Resurrection Catholic School, nearly every family receives financial assistance, and scholarships help make a Catholic education possible for students who might otherwise not have that opportunity.
On behalf of the students, families, teachers, staff, administration and the Board of Trustees, thank you for helping us celebrate, raise a record amount, and most importantly, change lives through the gift of a Catholic education.
We are so grateful to have you in the Resurrection Catholic School community!
