Dear RCS Community,
I hope this message finds you well! I am thrilled to share that our school will be implementing "The Leader in Me" program this year. This innovative program is designed to empower our students with essential leadership and life skills, promoting personal responsibility, teamwork, and effective communication.
"The Leader in Me" is based on Stephen Covey's principles from "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People." Through engaging activities and lessons, students will learn to set goals, manage their time, and collaborate with peers. Our aim is to foster a positive school culture where every child feels confident to take initiative and lead.
We believe that this program will not only enhance our students’ academic performance but also equip them with skills that will serve them well beyond the classroom. We encourage you to support this initiative by discussing these concepts at home and reinforcing the habits we will be teaching at school.
We are excited to embark on this journey together and look forward to seeing our students grow into strong, responsible leaders.
Student Lighthouse Team
As a part of the Leader in Me program, we are excited to introduce a new initiative at RCS. Student lighthouse team! This is a student leadership team that empowers our students to take on leadership roles within our school community.
The Lighthouse Team is designed to give students a voice in decision-making and to promote a culture of leadership, responsibility, and service. Our goal is to inspire students to become active participants in their education and to foster skills that will benefit them both in school and beyond.
What is the Student Lighthouse Team?
The Student Lighthouse Team is a group of selected middle school students who will work together on projects that enhance our school environment. They will engage in activities such as:
● Organizing events: Planning school-wide initiatives that promote community and collaboration.
● Gathering feedback: Serving as a liaison between students and faculty to share ideas and concerns.
● Leading by example: Encouraging positive behavior and school spirit among their peers.
The Lighthouse Team will meet regularly to discuss their projects and initiatives. They will also collaborate with teachers and staff to implement new ideas and solutions that benefit our school.
We are looking forward to seeing the positive impact our Student Lighthouse Leadership Team will have on our school.
Thank you for your continued support and encouragement of our students as they develop their leadership skills.
